IT Staffing Update Good morning! There are several updates regarding the staffing of IT for this coming year that I’d like to share. |
|
Student Interns Please welcome our Student Interns. They will be our first point of contact, answering phones, emails, and in person questions. One change to be aware of regarding these interns: we will be having a student worker deployed to the Lyon Building (Between the Lyon Lab and Classroom 106) from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, to allow for easier access. Please note that this change developed in response to your feedback submitted via our survey at the end of last year. |

IT Generalist Please join me in welcoming Trevor Patrick, who will be filling the role of IT Generalist in the IT Department. Trevor is a recent (2021) Computer Science graduate from Lyon, and previously worked in our department as a Student Intern for several years. He will be focused on three major areas: Jenzabar, Audio Visual, and Internal Application Development. He will also assist with help desk requests as needed. Trevor will be working out of the primary IT office on the 3rd floor of the Library. |

Systems Administrator Kasee Powers, our current Systems Administrator, is moving into a new area at Apogee, and will be transitioning off of our team. I want to thank Kasee for all his work over the past two years, and his help in getting Lyon back onto a firm foundation technologically. |

With this change, we welcome the new Sys Admin to the Apogee Team, Stephen Vermette. Stephen is an IT Professional with 15 years of experience. His expertise is in the area of servers, endpoint management, and technology integration. Prior to working with Lyon, Stephen led the scaling and adoption of modern workplace solutions for Dean College in Massachusetts.
Stephen currently resides just south of Boston with his wife, Anny, and enjoys hiking and following professional hockey. Stephen will work remotely from his office in Boston. |
