Submitting a new proposed project to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) |

STEP 1: Ensure all project personnel completed ethics training and submitted proof of completion. |
STEP 1: Ensure all project personnel are current on ethics training (valid for 3 years). |

STEP 2: Submit the Research Protocol Review Application using the Laserfiche form. |
STEP 2: Submit the Research Protocol Renewal Application using the Laserfiche form. |

STEP 3: Wait for the IRB review process to be completed. Once the review is done, all project personnel will receive an email containing the decision. |

STEP 4: If approved, proceed to the next step. If conditionally approved, revise and resubmit (see decision email for additional directions). If disapproved, return to step 2 (see decision email for feedback). |
