Counseling Center

Victoria, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist provides therapy services in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment. Therapy appointments are provided at no cost to students. The counseling center is located on the first floor of Edwards Commons Next to the Campus Clinic.

The Lyon College Counseling Center seeks to support the College’s mission and vision by working with students in counseling to help them discover and strengthen the sense of who they are and what impedes them in their personal and academic lives.

For immediate assistance, please call 911, go to the emergency room, contact Campus Safety or reach out the the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988.

Appointments are typically scheduled for 50 minutes and take place Monday-Thursday between 9am and 5pm with select hours on Friday.

Nicole Smith, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC is credentialed through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Nicole prescribes and manages clients’ psychiatric medication. Nicole comes to campus once a month and is available to see students, faculty and staff for medication management. This is a billable service. Please call the White River Behavioral Clinic for insurance and payment verification.
