Network Maintenance

Our network vendor, Apogee, must perform emergency maintenance on the core network switch. They will perform this work on Monday, January 8, starting at 9 AM. During this maintenance, the wired and wireless network will be unavailable, including internet access from campus, Jenzabar access, MyLyon, and any system that authenticates to campus, such as Gmail, Canvas, or Symplicity. Network Outage

Greetings, There is currently a widespread network outage on campus. At the moment, users will be unable to sign into their computers, and WiFi connections are down as well. Externally available sites such as MyLyon, Gmail, Canvas, and any other system that uses our login system are also unavailable. Gmail should still be accessible via mobiledevices. Upcoming Maintenance

​Coming up there will be several notable IT upgrades and maintenance occurring. New IT Staff

I'd like you to join me in welcoming two new members to our IT staff. Terry Clausen and Ryan (Marcus) Isbell will be joining the IT team as our new IT Support Analysts. I am pleased to announce that the new version of the electronic student forms (Such as the Add/Drop form, Change of Address form, etc.) have been rolled out to MyLyon. IT has been informed by our Vendor, Ready Education, that they are experiencing intermittent services issues, which may cause the Lyon App to become ocassionally unresponsive. Guest Network Change

Starting next week, beginning Wednesday 1/26/22, we will be making a change to the amount of available bandwidth on the Guest network. The Guest network will be limited to 1.5 MBps per device, which should work well for basic browsing needs. For all students, including commuters, we strongly encourage you to sign up for ResNet.
