Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 protects individualsfrom discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance.
Lyon College is committed to providing a safe and supportive learning environment free of sex discrimination and sexual harassment. The College takes seriously all reports of sex discrimination and harassment, and provides protections for pregnancy and parentings students, to ensure equitable educational opportunities for all. Title IX applies to all students, faculty, staff, anyone attempting to participate in a Lyon College education program or activity.
Anyone may make a report regarding sex discrimination or sexual harassment in the following ways:
- If you wish to file a report regarding sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking , or sexual exploitation, you may fill out this form (https://forms.lyon.edu/Forms/TitleIX) or email the Title IX Coordinator at: titleix@lyon.edu.
- Questions regarding Title IX may be referred to the College's Title IX Coordinator or to the Office for Civil Rights (Dallas Office) in the U.S. Department of Education.
