Kieran’s scholarly expertise is early American history, particularly the Revolutionary War. He is currently working on a book manuscript titledSuffering for the Crown: The Hudson Valley Loyalists, Violence, and Forced Migration in Revolutionary North America. Kieran has also published articles in several academic journals, includingEarly American Studies,New York History,Journal of Religious History,Journal of the American Revolution,The International History Review, andHudson River Valley Review. At Lyon, Kieran teaches a broad range of American history courses.
